Gay Kids has international ambitions and our ultimate goal is to establish Gay Kids North Korea sometime in the distant future as a grand finale on our world tour. Although a pretty unrealistic goal, it paints a picture about how far we want to travel to spread our message of respect and equality. But once […]

It’s a really nice feeling to like and admire another person. When two people are truly fond of each other, they might decide to live together the rest of their lives. Like my male partner and I do. Sometimes a man falls in love with a man or a woman falls in love with a […]
In my opinion, all Gay Kids must dare to be themselves. It is important not to change your way of life just because you turn out to be a lesbian woman or a gay man. When I was twenty I worked in a gay café in Bergen called Fincken. A lot of teenagers and students […]

When I was a kid, I didn’t want to be a kid but an adult. Being a child and socializing with other children was so boring. And I didn’t like the fact that so called grown-ups like my mummy had the right to make decisions for me. I Monica wanted to decide when to go […]
We are stationed in Britain these days to work on Gay Kids UK, and the proper english welcome we have encountered here have gone to our head because we find ourselves snooping around big museums in London checking calender dates long into the future. When I was a little girl, I was obsessed with the Catholic Church. I remember going to Holy Mass every Sunday with my mother. The nuns were so sweet to me and I totally adored the Holy Mother of Christ, the Blessed Virgin Mary. Surrounded by candle lights and clouds of incense, she looked down […]
Most children and grown ups have read or heard the story about The Ugly Duckling written by the world famous Danish author of fairy tales, Hans Christian Andersen (1805-1875). I knew that I fell in love with boys in my teens, but I didn´t tell anyone before the age of 25. I have never been ashamed of being gay, but I was a bit of a loner, confused and keeping myself to myself trying to figure out whom I was. I thought that I […]
